About Us

We are a mother-daughters (is that how you would say it?) team, working together to share our ideas on crafting and other stuff. We are a family of 11. My mom, dad, and nine kids, so there is always something going on at our house! You'll find a lot of things here that can be done on a budget, because we like yard sales, thrift stores, and roadside junk. We also love being involved in church. God is the center of our family and the most important thing in our lives!

Here are some random facts about us:

My parents were both born in Romania, and we go to a Romanian speaking church.

Everyone in our family is pretty musical. Two of us play violin, one  plays cello, and one of us plays viola. We also all sing in choir!

There are only two boys in the family (not counting my dad).

My mom, Adriana, is a stay at home mom an she loves gardening, art, and re-purposing things. She's always encouraging us to be creative. About a year ago, she started reading different blogs, and because of that, a few months ago we started up this blog. We are always thinking up new things to make and re-do. My mom does a lot of the projects and writes posts now that we've taught her how.

My name is Emily and I'm the oldest in our family. I love playing the violin, drawing, and cooking. I home schooled through high school and am now in college and working towards becoming an Occupational Therapist Assistant. I started the blog and work with the technical stuff involved with the blog. The name of our blog, Namely Original, was inspired by my first Etsy shop, where I sell name art signs and chalkboard signs.

My sister Julia also helps out with the blog. She likes shopping, selling stuff on Ebay, and hanging out with friends. This is her first year in home schooling and she is now working towards her high school diploma. Julia does our linky parties, and submits posts to different blogs.

Thanks for stopping by! We love hearing from you and reading your comments!

  2. I think it is great that you all are involved with these projects/business. My grand daughter is only 3 but I'd love it if she got interested in my furniture restoration!!

What an interesting family life you must have. Tell us more about your daily life. How in the world do you keep this family fed? Do you have a big garden, animals? Do you all speak Romanian? Tell us about some of your families customs?

    1. There is rarely a dull moment at our house, and sometimes a little crazy(noise level). People that visit are sometime amazed that our house is clean, but in our house cleanliness is next to Godliness. All the kids have age appropriate chores. We make almost everything from scratch, have dinner together every night, and feeding them has never been an issue as God provides all our needs. We do plant a garden every year because tomatoes from our garden just don't compare to the stores. We speak Romanian, but the kids understand it better than they speak.

      Thanks for visiting!
